It is the time of the year again where all the finalists are fighting for the first place, except, of course, Germany and the UK who will keep competing for the last spot.
A friend of mine just transitioned and also just changed his name and his birth certificate. It‘s also his birthday in a few days so i maybe wanted to bake a „It‘s a boy“ cake to celebrate his transition and i don‘t know if that would be insensible 😅 It would be great if ya‘ll could tell me if my idea is ok or not. I dunno, I got a weird feeling about it cause I‘m a cis woman
Imagine you had this friend back in middle school, you hung out with him, you came up with new ideas, you played on the slides, etc., you had fun together, he made you laugh, he was a good friend. Then, you found out that he had died. Obviously, youβre upset, but you canβt let the grief weigh you down. You have plans for the world. Plans that you carry out with your expert tactical skills. You manage to think three steps ahead of everyone else. You pretend to be innocent on the outside, so that the people who killed your friend wonβt ever think that youβre a threat. You are. You plan and strategize, eventually becoming the mayor of one of the largest cities in the country. You have your supporters. You have your revolters. Still, you manage to lead the city. You live a good life. Decades pass. Youβve aged. Your memory starts to fade a bit. Still, you can still recall that friend you made, nearly a century ago.
And then that friend just walks right on into your office.
And heβs still twelve.
And a cabbage seller is yelling about his cabbages.
do you think there’s ever been a point in the avatar cycle where everyone was just waiting for them to pop up in one of the water tribes, but instead they reincarnated into one of those waterbending swamp hicks in the earth kingdom? because I really like the idea of a swamp avatar with a little leaf hat and a southern drawl.
